Your Boat

On Board Yachting are one of the few RYA Schools in the country that specialise in teaching you the RYA Courses on your Own Boat.

The courses will be for a maximum of 3 persons, although more are welcome as crew.

The benefit to you is that you learn on your own boat, your local waters and the price for 2 or 3 of you works out cheaper than going our school boat.

All RYA Courses need to be for 5 days and 5 nights, although tuition other than RYA Courses can be from 1 day upwards.

You will need to ensure that your insurance policy covers you for instruction, and you will need to have the following minimum safety equipment:

1 Lifejacket each.
Fixed VHF
Handheld VHF
Throwing Line
Life Buoy
First Aid Kit
Torch/Spot Light
2 Fire Extinguishers
Coastal Flare Pack
Liferaft or Dinghy

You will also need charts and navigational equipment for the training area.

The daily rate for one of our Yachtmaster Instructors is £195 plus travel and expenses. We would also request that he or she is properly fed and watered while with you.
